Hawaii Food & Wine Festival Presents “Malama Maui”

One party ends, and another begins. While Kaanapali Fresh is scheduled Friday and Saturday, August 30-31, on Sunday, September 1 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the Hawaii Food & Wine Festival hosts “Malama Maui,” a dinner gala at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa. The dinner kicks off an eight-day schedule of food and beverage events state-wide.

Celebrity chefs from Maui and beyond will be featured:

Bev Gannon of Bev Gannon Restaurants, Maui

Sheldon Simeon, Top Chef: Seattle and formerly Star Noodle, Lahaina, Maui

Gregory Grohowski, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa

Hiroyuki Sakai, La Rochelle, Tokyo, Japan

Rick Tramonto, Tramonto Steak  & Seafood, Wheeling, Ill.

Marcel Vigneron, Modern Global Tasting, Inc., Los Angeles

Wineries pairing with the chef creations include Amapola Creek, Sonoma, Calif; Loring Wine Company, Lompoc, Calif., and Robert Biale Vineyards, Napa, Calif.
